SURPRISE FOR FUN.: A FAN GIFT!

So I made some vague posts last night about how I want to make a surprise for fun. and now I am making this post to explain to you exactly what I’d like to do! I am going to be making a big scrapbook type thing for the band! I want as many fans as possible to be involved in this so that it can be extremely special!
The show I am wanting to give them this at is on May 31! I know it’s not a long way away I’m sorry for short notice but what I’m going to need from you is very easy so hopefully everyone will still participate!
And I would love it if I could have all “entries” for lack of a better term by MAY 25 at the latest! However, if due to rotten circumstances this is a problem just let me know and I’ll plan to have yours later.
This is all about everybody’s personal feelings towards the band and what they mean to them! Shown in what ever way suits you best (and fits the project haha) This can be writing, art, pictures, anything! See below for more on what you might want to send in!
WHAT TO SEND IN:
So, if you’re going to write something Include stuff like:
Your favorite memory relating to the band?
Your favorite song and why it’s your favorite/what it means to you?
How has the band improved your life?
How did you first get into the band?
Basically just talk about the band and what they mean to you! You can do it in list formate, a paragraph, anything!
FAN ART THAT YOU’VE DONE WOULD BE AN AMAZINGLY APPRECIATED ENTRY. I want the band to see how talented you are and what they’ve inspired you to accomplish! So send in art!
Or even send in lyrics to a song you wrote that they inspired you to write!
If you are going to send in a picture, please make it a picture you have taken of the band or of you with the band. I do not want you to send in someone else’s picture because I don’t want to deal with the whole taking credit for someone else’s work thing.
Yeah! Basically send in anything at all that you want that can be put into a book!
You may send in multiple things! Ex: a piece of art or picture AND write some! Or all three! Send literally as much stuff as you want!
HOW TO SEND STUFF IN:
Email is the best way!
You can email entries to taylorkh818@gmail.com
If you are writing something you can obviously either type it out or handwrite it and scan it.
If you are sending in art you can either scan it or take a picture of it (yes I am completely okay with this even if the quality isn’t that great!) and send it as an attachment.
WAYS OTHER THAN EMAIL:
If you really want to you can mail it to me at my house, if you want to do this ask box me off anonymous for my address.
You can make a post here on Tumblr about it and tag it with “fun. surprise 2012” so I can find it.
It would be preferred if your name and where you’re from was included with your entries but if you want don’t want that included that’s okay too just let me know!
Finally, please reblog this and tell your in real life friends who are fun. fans and all that jazz because I want as many entries as possible! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS don’t hesitate to email me (taylorkh818@gmail.com) or to send me a question in my ask box. (yes anonymous is always on!).
EDIT: If you could include your URL (unless using submit box), name, and Twitter name (if applicable) when submitting that would be great so I can include it in the book!

Anonymous asked: Why would u even want to make a scrapbook thing when its already been done? That other girl did it and the band got it so dont u think theyll kinda know you took her idea? Like if its already been done theyd probably appreciate something completely different and original more then another scrapbook dont u think?
First I want to make clear again that I didn’t steal her idea.
Aside from that, they would probably like other gifts as well, and I do have plans for different things in the future, but none of those plans are something I can do right now or something that really fits with what this project is really going to be.
I use the term scrapbook very loosely. Really it’s going to be more like a tribute to the band with the thoughts and creativity of all different fans from everywhere who want to send stuff in.
Avery’s project (which is fantastic, by the way) is very different than what the one I’m putting together will be in many ways.
So, like I said, yeah the guys would like other gifts too, and I have plans for those in the future, but I think they’ll still appreciate this one because it is different from Avery’s and it is going to be special, just in a different way than hers was.

GUYS.
Okay, everyone please pay attention. I did not know anything of averyfunperson’s project until she sent me an ask telling me about it. I am not copying her and I am not meaning to be disrespectful. From where I stand our projects are different in some ways. Because of these differences I am going to continue on with my project (link to it here).
I think what Avery did for the band was amazing and I am in no way attempting to devalue her work! Looking at what she did I see that it’s extremely thoughtful and the band obviously loved it!
My project does have similarities to hers, but really they are not the exact same thing. So to those of you who think I am copying her, I AM NOT.
And to those of you who are on my side, DO NOT SEND HER HATE. Okay?! This is not anyone’s fault and NO ONE deserves to be bullied through anonymous messages about it! SO STOP. It’s not cool.
So, to anyone’s feeling who are hurt, I’m sorry about that.
And to anyone who had interest in my project, I hope you still plan on participating because without you guys this won’t be possible.
